Babies and Diapers

So I haven't posted for a while and I have good reason... Our little angel was born on 9 July. Things have been a little more hectic since then. We are doing great and adjusting to parenthood pretty easily so far. When we started collecting stuff from others for her nursery (I like hand-me-downs) I ended up getting disposable diapers from friends who's kids had outgrown them already. So we had about a pack and a half of newborn disposable diapers. I decided that to make things easier on us in the first weeks that we would use those until they were gone and move into cloth afterwards.
I didn't want to bog myself down in the first couple weeks with having to worry about more laundry and things to do, when I am suppose to be recovering. Well, we have come to the last of the diapers that fit, and we are about to embark on the journey of cloth diapers now. I am excited and apprehensive at the same time. I just don't know what to expect and I have fear of the unknown.
Things have been surprisingly easy... My pregnancy was easy, my labor was super easy, breast feeding was/is easy right now, Now I am just waiting for the hard part. I don't want there to be a hard part, but from what others are saying there will be. I am hoping that the hard part is not cloth diapers. I hope we can skip the 'hard part' altogether.
She has been such a perfect baby and I am so blessed to have her.

  1. cloth diapers, not hard, a couple of extra loads of laundry a week, really not a big deal, and you have an american sized washer :). For me 2.5 years old and adding a second was the hard part, I'm just now a year later feeling capable of taking them both out in public at the same time for more than a quick run to the post office or something.
